Mungap 한국어

Privacy policy

This is a draft that has not had legal review. It may change before it takes effect; text in square brackets [ ] has not been filled in yet.

[Business name] ("we") handles information in the Mungap app and on this website as follows.

1. Your documents are read only on your computer

Mungap reads the documents you import on your own computer and keeps what it read (type, partner, dates, amounts and so on) in an encrypted file on that computer. The words and pictures in your documents and your employee roster are not sent to our servers.

2. What Mungap sends over the internet

a. Usage statistics — on from the start, and you can turn them off

We use these to learn how many people use which features, so we can improve Mungap. Once a day, while Mungap is open, it sends the numbers for the previous days.

Sent along with the numbers:

Numbers sent for each day:

Never sent:

To turn this off: in Mungap, go to Settings › "What Mungap sends over the internet" and turn off "Send usage statistics". Numbers not yet sent are deleted too. Everything else keeps working. You can also see there what was last sent.

b. Checking for new versions — you can turn this off

Once a day, Mungap downloads a small file that says whether a new version exists. Mungap sends no information about itself when it does this (your computer's internet address and the name of the checking program reach the server as part of the connection). If there is one, Mungap only tells you; the installer is downloaded and installed only when you choose "Install new version". To turn this off: Settings › "What Mungap sends over the internet" › turn off "Check for updates automatically". You can still check yourself under Settings › "Updates".

c. Send a problem — only when you choose to

What you wrote, the email address for a reply (if you gave one), the Mungap version, computer type, screen language and document rules turned on, the screen and short error code if you opened it next to an error message, the same installation number as usage statistics if you have them turned on (so we can see reports from the same computer together — not sent if they are off), and — if you choose — the recent log (short codes and numbers about what Mungap did; no file names, locations or document contents). You see exactly what will be sent before sending.

d. Features that may come later

This version has no feature that sends documents over the internet. If an optional feature such as "Read again with AI" is added later, we will update this policy first to say what goes where.

3. What our servers keep, and for how long

WhatHow long
Usage statistics (2a)400 days from receipt, then deleted daily.
Problem reports (2c)365 days from receipt, then deleted daily. We delete one sooner if you ask (section 6).

Usage statistics are kept as one row per day and installation number (the information sent along with the numbers, the numbers, and when they arrived). Problem reports are kept as sent, one per report. When a new report arrives, we get a notification email that contains only the reference number, version, computer type and length — not what you wrote or your email address.

Our servers do not store your computer's internet (IP) address. The company that runs the servers (Cloudflare) receives the connection and can see it.
